The importance of accurate measurement of vacuum cannot be under stated, indeed we liken the measurement of vacuum to that of driving a car. You wouldn't drive a car without a speedometer and nor should you evacuate a systems with a vacuum gauge. Vacuum measurement can be done in a variety of ways, mechanically and electronically, mechanical gauges use bordon tubes or sealed capsules and there accuracy is limited to a few mbar whereas electronic gauges can measure very low pressures. ACRAVAC Plus: Utilising Pirani technology this simple battery operated gauge connects via a ¼ flare connection to a standard refrigeration line and is capable of displaying reducing vacuum from 1000 mbar - 0.01 mbar (atmosphere to 1 micron) Thermovac: Digital display Pirani vacuum gauges, ideally suited to process applications the Display one series feature remote display units and multi head options. The Display one are extremely accurate covering the full range of pressure from atmosphere 0.0001mbar. Options include switching capability and chart outputs for recording.
