Polymer Microoptics
Microlenses
In the field of polymer optics, we consider microoptics those optical elements with diameters less than 3 millimeters. These optical surfaces can be stand alone elements or intergrated into larger modules.
The constant minimization of components and modules necessarily leads to refinement and weight reduction of optical elements. To a great extent, the production of these small micro optics can most easily and cost effectively be realized through the use of plastic optical materials.
An important part of our microoptic capabilities is injection molding of grating structures as for diffractive micro optics and micro lens arrays. This capability requires special micro injection molding machines to produce these features with the required finish.
