Microlens array
JENOPTIK Polymer Systems
A micro lens array is an arrangement of lenses which can be rotationally symmetrical as well as cylindrical. The lenses are arranged with only a small gap or none at all. The dimensions of a single lens are between 1 mm and a few µm, depending on the application.
We have developed a polymer double-sided microlens array which can easily be reproduced for series production due to a unique proprietary tooling. The new technology allows for an array precisely aligned front-to-back within microns.
A double-sided microlens array enables, among others, homogenization of laser sources as well as beam guidance in laser projection systems. This development reacts to increasing demands for micro projectors in the consumer markets, which are used, for example, for mini beamers in laptops and mobile phones.
But also in the fields of automotive & mobility, lighting & energy, health care & life science and sensors technology microlens arrays can be used for beam guidance.
