Natural sand with binders is commonly used to economically manufacture
high quality building stones.
Naturally, this raw-material is moist and contains tramp material
such as root remnants, stone agglomerates and erratic blocks.
This tramp material affects further processing of the quarry sand
to lime sand bricks. It damages the downstream blenders and
stone presses.
For this reason, the sand is screened at 8 mm.
For the removal of this tramp material we use our circular-motion
vibratory screen SWEN equipped with wire rood screen decks
which are lengthwise tensioned. The above type of screen is particularly
suitable for this application.
The angle of the screen decks is 25° and 15°. A capacity of up
to 350 t/h of natural sand is processed on a screen of 2.000 mm
width.
