Brake resistors are required in fields of application where the peak loads of an electromechanical process must be converted into heat. In some cases brake resistors drain energy from a motor drive to stop the motor. The available types range from wire-wound resistors and steel grid resistors to compact resistor elements. Basically all JOVYATLAS resistor types can be applied as brake resistors. For smaller drive units we normally use either the PT 1000 or the resistors from our “Alpha” series. Our HWS-steel-grid-resistors or our EN-series are suitable for large drive mechanisms
