* The MX7 represents a new machine design concept. The utilization of linear guideway technology and Juaristi’s rigid column-centered headstock design allow the MX7 to machine large parts accurately at high feed rates.
* Four linear guideways, two in the front and two at the rear of the column, capture the headstock within the column and provide the machine with enhanced rigidity and stability.
* The milling ram is also captured on all sides utilizing a set of four linear guideways. Longitudinal ram growth is controlled through the use of a chiller system and temperature monitoring probes located throughout the ram assembly. (An optional hydro-mechanical droop compensation system can be provided to further enhance the MX7’s machining accuracy)
* The wide cast iron bed of the MX7 provides an ultra-stable platform. Fitted with linear guideways, the bed structure allows for the accurate machining of large parts at rapid feed rates.
* Power is transmitted from the drive motor to the milling ram through a two-range gear box; allowing higher torque and power transmission to the spindle than comparable belt-driven systems
