Wireless access point (WAP)
2 x 10/100, 802.11a/b/g | WLA371
Juniper Networks
The WLA371 Wireless LAN Access Point is a single-radio indoor 802.11a/b/g access point that is simple to deploy, easy to manage, and supports any kind of service, including data, voice, and video over wireless connections. It is primarily suitable for small wireless installations.
Features:
Two 10/100 Fast Ethernet ports and 802.3af Power-over-Ethernet (PoE)
Dual diversity antennas on 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz bands
Automatic calculation of data integrity and RF signal strength of the wireless channel
Continuous tuning for optimal RF channel and transmit power
Continuous prioritization of delay-sensitive voice and other critical applications
Local encryption to offload the WLAN controller
Inconspicuous design and built-in lock for additional security
Wi-Fi Multimedia (WMM) or SpectraLink Voice Priority (SVP) can be configured to ensure optimal QoS for voice traffic. Built-in policies allow per user, protocol, or class-of-service (CoS) mapping.
The WLA371 plays a key role in rogue and intrusion detection as well as denial-of-service (DoS) attack detection. It features ActiveScan which allows it to scan the active 802.11 band, channels, and VLANs while simultaneously providing wireless connectivity to mobile clients. In addition, SentryScan allows the WLA371 to act as a dedicated sentry and provide non-stop scanning.
