Rubber

Rubber expansion joints are flexible elements made from natural or synthetic elastomers with “tire cord” fabric and metallic reinforcements. By using the most recent advances in the field of synthetic rubber, for extreme chemical and temperature resistance, along with the latest “tire cord” fabrics, with resistances of up to 1000 N/mm, we have obtained spectacular designs for services in which the use of rubber expansion joints had not previously been considered.

Pressures of up to 100 bars, much higher wave movements, greater flexibility, etc.; conditions which are necessary in many cases to solve the problems currently presented by the increased demands in pipeline projects.

Our types, BF-PPS-HP, for pressures of up to PN100; BF-PPS-BKTW, specially for desalination plants, with a special design of the complete flange in rubber offering low torques to obtain a seal; and BL-FLEX, spherical mould with special flange design, etc., are examples of how our research capacity works for the benefit of our clients and of the market.
