The HBW series from KAAST is a collection of CNC horizontal boring mills that feature either a fixed or moving column design paired with hardened and ground guideways. These machines are made of strongly ribbed high-quality Meehanite cast iron, for solid support for even the heaviest of workpieces. The main spindle features a powerful ZF transmission, and the rotary table offers a resolution of up to 0.001°. There is effective protection of the bed guideways through telescopic steel covers. Glass scales are included in the X, Y, and Z-axes, along with a 40-piece tool changer. The HBW series takes advantage of the FANUC 0i-MF CNC control.
