Open path FT-IR spectrometer (OP-FTIR)

The Miles Open-Path FTIR Systems are a bi-static design and include hot sources that can be installed around a chemical / industrial process area. The systems integrate an FTIR, positioner, video camera, and a cold-head cryogenic detector. The systems were mainly used at American Bayer Plants for the early warning detection of Phosgene.
