Description

We have recently added the CP Series of hard metric, two-piece connectors with a 2mm pitch to our product lineup. Over the past few years, a trend away from VME bus towards PCI has developed as bus speeds continue to increase in fields such as industrial devices, communications equipment, factory automation, medical equipment, and industrial measuring devices. In response to this demand, our new CP Series provides a range of next-generation industrial connectors ideal for dense mounting and high-speed transmission environments. Following on from our addition of long-tail and hot-swap variations to the series, we have now also added new 55contact and 125contact (plug side) types in order to support a greater range of applications for these high-speed, high-density, multi-contact connectors. In line with this expansion of the series, a total of five contact variations - namely, 55, 84, 95, 110, and 125 - are now available (with 95 or 110 on the receptacle side), and we have further enhanced the lineup in the form of press-fit, 3.7mm long; press-fit, long tail; hot-swap; computer telephony; and shroud types. By completing our range of compact PC connectors in this way, it is now possible to use KEL connectors alone to configure our current CPCI Series of Compact PCI bus backplanes, thus enabling us to benefit our customers in the form of faster delivery and lower cost.
