i-tec® Shrink Fit Chucks: Now even more robust and efficient The new improved i-tec® shrink fit chucks considerably surpass the ISO standard. Stability reducing details like counterbore or inserting tapers are a thing of the past. The increased percentage contact area of the tool holder around the tool shank reduces the bending moment. Benefits including: * Greater transferable torque * Improved cutter stiffness * Better concentricity * Longer service life of the tool cutting edge i-tec® shrink fit chucks are ground on the outside contour for improved run out and to optimise balance. In addition i-tec® shrink fit chucks are fine balanced and normally need no rebalancing. They are available short-term in ISO 40 and 50 as well as in the most common HSK sizes and types. The basic holders are available in three standard lengths and partly different geometries. Further applications are possible with the i-tec® extensions, which can be easily shrunk into the basic tool holder.
