Knife gate valve for slurry
DN 50 - DN 600, max. 16 bar | KV2 Kempster Engineering

Metal seated Knife Gate Valve for use with self-sealing slurries, powders and granular
materials. Round bottom blade has self cleaning contour to resist product medium
blocking valve within the throat area of the body. Pocketless ports prevent build-up of
product and ensure full closure of blade.

VALVE BODY: Manufactured from cast iron, bronze, aluminium, carbon and
stainless steel, duplex and Hastelloy
BLADE: Manufactured from stainless steel or Hardox steel (anti-abrasion)
SPINDLE: 'Rising spindle' design manufactured from stainless steel
GLAND PACKING: Mica-lube cotton, alternatively PTFE or other grade to suit application
FACINGS: To suit flanges BS EN1092 NP10, NP16, ANSI 150, DIN ND10, BST
'D' or 'E' & others
PNEUMATIC CYLINDERS: 'ISO' type with stainless steel piston rods, sized to suit 5 bar operating air pressure

Optional extras include extension spindles, alternative actuators, locking facilities, ni-hard port
inserts, abrasive resistant body encapsulation (Halar). Also spring-loaded scraper blades to
clear product adhering to face of blade.
