EMIVT - is an electric drive system solution for tracked and wheeled special vehicles. The electric motor and generator are located in the transmission housing. The drive system uses power either from a generator driven by a combustion engine, from batteries or from fuel cells. A complicated driveline concept with transfer box, locking differentials, can be dispensed with as mechanical functions are largely replaceable by electronic software. The modular design permits interesting lightweight solutions.
