The PortMaster V3 is MODBUS communication unit, which enables multi-port serial communication, protocol conversion in industrial applications.
The PortMaster comprises four RS232/RS485 ports, one Ethernet and one USB port. Each serial port is independently programmable as Modbus master or slave ports and Ethernet and USB ports can be defined as slave ports. Also all ports can be used as configuration port.
Each port defined as a MODBUS slave can be connected to a PLC MANUFACTURERS or RTU port defined as a MODBUS master. The ports defined as masters are connected to field devices and provide automatic cyclic polling of the field devices.
Master ports can access more than one slave port with Address Remapping function.
The PortMaster is a cascadable unit, which allows having more than four ports when required.
Configuration of the PortMaster can be done with PROFESSIONAL PC connected over USB port with PortConfig, a Windows based professional software.
