Controller for Remote Controlled PF and for Remote Controlled Outputs

The NRC 86 remote controller is designed especially for large photovoltaic power stations connected to high voltage distribution networks that require remote control of target PF through pulse inputs. Another option of the controller application may be compensation system with remote controlled outputs. The controllers are installed in set with special version of "NOVAR 1xxx NRC" PFCs.

Application

1. Remote Controlled Power Factor Compensation Systems -Five pulse signals are connected to the NRC 86 controller. As soon as a correct pulse on any of inputs is detected, it is interpreted as new serial number of target PF corresponding to the input. The number is memorized and confirmed with switching of appropriate output on.A Novar 1xxx NRC controller ( or several controllers) is interconnected with the NRC 86 controller with a serial communication link, periodically reads the target power factor serial number from it and controls power factor to appropriate preset target power factor value.
2. Remote Controlled Outputs Compensation Systems - The NRC86-07 controller model with 7 outputs is optimal for this use. If a compensation system with more than 7 compensation sections, two controllers need to be used. The controller(s) is/are installed together with compensation contactors and capacitors or reactors in common switchbox. It is interconnected with remote NOVAR 1xxx NRC power factor controller with a serial communication link. The contactors are connected to the NRC 86 controller whereas the Novar1xxx NRC controller outputs stay unconnected.
