Fresnel lenses replace the curved surface of a conventional lens with a series of concentric grooves, moulded into the surface of lightweight plastic sheets. These grooves act as individual refracting surfaces when viewed in cross section. Our large-aperture, lightweight plastic lenses are often used as collimators and collectors in sensor or communication systems.
