(SAHR) Floating Calipers are ideally suited for use as parking and emergency brakes positioned on the drive shaft or gear box output.
These brakes function as fail-safe brakes. Under normal operating conditions, the brake is released by continious fluid pressure. A drop in this release pressure - due to actuation of the brake valve, or failure of the pressure-supply system - initiates an integrated spring for safe braking operation.
