The DUK series Ultrasonic flowmeters work on the principle that the speed of an ultrasonic wave transmitted through a flowing medium is hampered when the flows are in opposite direction. DUK setup includes two ultrasonic transmitters/receivers placed opposite to each other and at an angle to the medium whose flow is to be measured/monitored.
Under no-flow conditions, waves from both the terminals traverse at the same speed. However, under flowing conditions, the wave traversing against the medium is at a disadvantage. A microprocessor-based control system accurately calculates the difference in speed between the two waves and after processing provides the medium’s flow rate.
DUK is ideal for measuring, monitoring, metering, and dosing of low-viscosity fluids.
