The CM-3220d is a very compact, lightweight, rugged and extremely easy to use table to spectrophotometer for colour matching and quality control in the laboratory or for "Point of Sale" (POS) applications. With d:8° sphere geometry (di:8° and de:8°), 8 mm aperture and powerful xenon flash illumination the CM-3220d is a high quality instrument but yet affordable.

With a total weight of less then 4 kg and it's very compact dimension's, the CM-3220d is the perfect solution for POS applications, where minimum space, minimum costs and maximum performance is required.
Heart of the CM-3220d is the innovative technology already used in the portable model CM-2500d. Among it's features, you'll find Minolta's patented Numerical Gloss Control (NGC®) which enables simultaneous measurement with specular components included (SCI) and excluded (SCE), Xenon flash illumination technology as well as inter instrument agreement levels never seen before in this instrument price category.
To assure trouble free handling, an important feature on products used in POS, the only operation button found on the instrument is the on/off switch! Thus, the instrument is fully controlled by the external PC software.
For the same reasons the white calibration tile is fixed to the instrument with a special mechanism allowing trouble free white calibration routine.In order to allow measurement of large specimen, the sample holder can be flipped and locked at 90°. Furthermore, a special mechanism allows precise sample observation and thus positioning.
