No counterforce occurs during pallet setting (when pallet clamp is released).
When connected (where the pallet clamp is locked), the clamping force of pallet clamp and lift stroke are used to ensure firm connection and reliability.
The thickness of base plate/pallet is minimized as the auto joints are made maller.
