The angular contact bail bearing can receive a radial
load. unidirectional axial load. or a combination of the
above loads.
There are four différent contact angles to choose
from when angular contact bail bearings are
considered: 15° (contact angle symbol: C). 20° (CA),
30° (A: to be omrtted). and 40" (B) (see Flg. 1. 1).
Of these types, the 15° (contact angle symbol: C),
20" (CA) and 30° (A) bearings are usually used for
spindle of machine tools.
The greater the contact angle, the higher the axial
rigidity, and the smaller the contact angle, the more
advantageous for high-speed rotations.
