Kubota introduced the OC series with an "Advanced Cooling Three Vortex" system, which cools the combustion chamber with oil and the cylinder with air. The combustion chamber is an I.D.I. type with a unique "Three Vortex Combustion System".

Kubota has combined the principle of the popular industrial air-cooled engine, with that of the highly reliable water-cooled engine to develop the OC series
