The target of the life tes is to put the shock absorber under certain performance conditions, looping in measures up to 5 speeds and registering them so that they can be reproduced later in different formats, in order to be able to assess their degradation with the use.
An initial cycle of conditioning, an initial measure and a thermostability cycle are carried out to reach the working temperature. Then predefined number of cycles of life test and measures will be repeated.
Once the Test has been carried out, a chart is made to compare the behavior of the shock absorber with the pattern. The measurement of the force is made by a Load cell which is in the lower support. When the piston rod is compress, the load cell reads the force in real time and sent the data to the computer.
This machine carries out the life test for a range of lengths between 100mm and 1600mm.
