Nucleation means, in the field of the polyurethane, the mixture of gas with basic component with the development of foam. In general, polyol is chosen since dispersion gas-polyol is much more stable than dispersion gas-isocianate. The gases generally used are the nitrogen, the dry air or CO2.
In addition the properties of finished foam are some improved because of presence of an significant amount of microbubbles which improve the organization of the cellular structure and consequently the mechanical properties.
