PC-based automation encompasses the functions required for machine control in a compact and perfectly matched system. The real-time operating system Windows CE and the powerful hardware ensure that all tasks in the areas of control, visualisation and movement are fully covered.

Possible applications for the PC-based automation range from operational and control activities in close proximity to machines right through to tasks at the levels of processing and guidance. A particular advantage of this automation system is the possibility of establishing a productive interconnection between widely different levels of activity within a company without great expenditure.

L-force Logic & Motion contains a soft PLC and soft motion under Windows® CE and VisiWinNET® visualisation.

The multitasking and real-time capability of Windows® CE 5.0 provide a uniform and deterministic distribution of processing time between the controller and the other applications. The pulse duty factor can be adjusted in 1 ms steps, to make more or less computing power available to the PLC, depending on the application. The soft PLC runs with high precision and is thus also suitable for the control and regulation of highly dynamic processes.

The Drive PLC is a compact control system which enables easy integration of frequency inverters. The ETCxC and ETCHM products complete the portfolio of controls with their dynamic motion control system with CNC functionality (6D). Both products can be programmed in accordance with IEC 61131-3.

The Drive PLC is a freely programmable and powerful PLC dedicated to the control of inverter drives. Not only is this control unit capable of monitoring the movements of your machine, but it can also take charge of central control tasks. The Drive PLC is programmed using the PLC languages of the IEC 61131-3 international standard. As well as offering options for connection to the most popular types of fieldbus, the Drive PLC also features gateway functionality. Received process data are forwarded to the connected drive controller via the built-in system bus.The input and output terminals of the Drive PLC can be extended quickly and easily by means of extension boards or function modules.
