The progressive design of the TRI-DELTA® cable leads to a longer service life of this medium voltage cable.
With continuous further development from 1990, LEONI Studer AG has made the plastic insulated medium voltage cable more compact and lighter by replacing the steel reinforcement of the three-core cable with an extremely tough sheath. At the same time the copper wire shield was replaced by a hermetically sealed longitudinally and transversely water-proof tubular aluminum shield.
The name TRI-DELTA® comes from the triangular cross-section form of the three-wire cable. As a solution to the problem of “water trees” in polymer-insulated cables the TRI-DELTA® cable provides a «dry» medium voltage cable for the first time on the Swiss market.
TRI-DELTA® cables have the certificate «SEV Plus» for conformity and quality. They meet the special SEV quality requirements for plastic insulated medium voltage cables.
