Compression springs in light materialWhat we call small compression springs are made in material with wire diameters from 0.03 - 3.0 mm.
It is possible, in principle, to maintain the same tight tolerances for different material grades, irrespective of wire diameter. In general, the smaller the dimension you need of your compression springs, the more difficult it is to maintain the desired tolerances.
The smallest compression springs we can make contain 0.03 mm diameter wire - a human hair averages 0.05 mm!
