Electric forklift truck
3500 kg - 5000 kg Linde Material Handling

Electric forklift trucks from Linde MH with 3.5 to 5 tonne lifting capacity are now also available on the market

Linde Material Handling (MH) set new benchmarks in efficiency and driver comfort when it showcased its new series of electric forklift trucks at the CeMAT trade fair -- and now the larger models, with load capacities ranging from 3.5 to 5 tonnes, have also been launched on the market. Thanks to the large number of variants available, series-produced trucks are able to meet the requirements of a diverse range of applications.

Linde MH has opened up the choice between standard models with large batteries (840 Ah), for continuous use where there is a need for a significantly longer operating life, and more compact models with smaller batteries (700 Ah), which are also suited for use in small spaces -- and it is the only industrial truck manufacturer in this truck segment to do so. However, it is not just the operating companies that will welcome this development. Drivers too will benefit from the new Linde E35 to E50 electric forklift trucks, as they are sup-plied with a new generation seat that also features in the revised model of the combustion-engine-powered Linde H40 to H50 trucks. Linde MH can install an air-sprung comfortable seat with a redesigned armrest in either truck type as an option. For drivers who like to be even more comfortable, the Active seat, also available as an option, provides ventilation of the seat and back surfaces, ensuring that the driver remains comfortable even, for example, in warm weather.

Active ventilation during the battery charging process has proven to be a strong selling point of the new electric forklift trucks since the launch of the smaller series. Operating companies also consider this to be an important feature of the larger trucks that are now being launched on the market. The optional electric fan, which expels the battery gases produced during the charging process in a controlled manner out of the back of the truck via the counterweight, saves the user time and requires less space. Opening the doors or battery hood during the charging process is no longer necessary. All the driver has to do is open the rear cover and connect the battery charging cable to an external battery charger, or connect the charging cable for the high-frequency on-board charger to a high-voltage socket.

The other innovations from the series, such as the standard traction control system, the remaining travel time display in minutes or the three different operating modes, also feature in the larger models. From the start of 2012, a 5-tonne electric forklift truck with a 600-mm load centre of gravity will also be available for transporting large loads.
