Description

The tube furnaces of the FRV series are 3 zone vertical tubular furnaces, designed for directional solidification of metals within a safety atmosphere composed out of argon or nitrogen gas. This model is designed for linear unit mounting and features a lead located over the sample, a cooling tube connection (ideal for the loading of liquid metal like Ga and In) and a sample bar installed on a pneumatic cylinder, which can be lowered for quenching the sample. Additionally, the furnace and tubing were designed for simple separation for charging and discharging purposes. This model features maximum operating temperature of 1,700 °C, speed from 0.1 to 1,000 mm/h with 100 mm/s cooling speed and maximum heating power around 20 kW.
