Non-Magnetic Clean Top II Optical Tops, 714 Series, Maximum Damping
Clean Top II Optical Table is now available in a "non-magnetic" construction. They offer the same equipment as the 784 series and have the maximum dry damping level.

Though no alloy of stainless steel can be said to be 100%non-magnetic, the lower carbon content of the 300 series alloys offer a dramatic reduction in ferromagnetic properties. Aluminum tops are not recommended due to their poor structural properties.

The non-magnetic table tops are recommended for all applications requiring the support of a high-strength magnet or the maintenance of a homogenous magnetic field.
