Screw compressor LMFLMF compound compressor units are intended for use in all situations where little space is available, where weight must be kept to a minimum, but where high output capacities and high final pressures are required.
This type of compressor is a combination of a screw compressor and a piston compressor, with a common prime mover – diesel or electric - situated between them. LMF compound compressors are available as stationary units for on/off-shore operation, or as mobile units mounted on trucks or trailers. By covering a power range of up to 1150 kW (1600 hp), the compressor units provide final pressures of up to 400 bar (5800 psi) and output capacities from 24 m³/min (800 cfm) to 70 m³/min (2480 cfm). All LMF compressors bear the fruit of LMF’s experience in having built more than 400 compound compressor units since 1980, for clients all over the world. VC/VCS Compound Compressor Systems LMF 57/138-207 E with sea-/freshwater heat exchanger delivery 57 m³/min (2000 cfm), working pressure 138-207 bar (2000-3000 psi), driven by 1100 kW (1490 hp) electric motor (690 V, 60 cps, watercooled) |
