Since 1979, over four thousand LMI/Selcom ™ laser and vision sensors have provided the transportation industry with a reliable, safe and efficient way to collect critical information. In the case of road inspection, a number of laser sensors are typically mounted on a survey vehicle and driven over the road surface at highway speeds, so as not to disrupt traffic. Automated measurements of road conditions are a cost effective, reliable, accurate and safe method of collecting road conditions data as opposed to manual methods.
