WAVE ESD is especially made for the electronic industry where static discharges can prove fatal for electronic components. WAVE ESD is designed to drain away static charges as they occur in a controlled manner. The neck joint between the head and arm moves in three planes: Horizontally, vertically and laterally making exact positioning easy.

40% of failures in electronic components can be traced back to static electricity, damages estimated to EURO 5 billion every year! A human body hardly feels a 3000 Volt static discharge, while only 10 volts can be lethal to a class 1 ESD component. The head has been treated with a layer of dissipative polyurethane coating, and all metal parts have special epoxy powder coating.
The lens has a special conductive layer, which also reduces unwanted reflections and gives superior viewing comfort.
The rectangular lens, 175 x 108 mm, permits comfortable viewing with both eyes. Due to the slim edge in front of the lens, eye contact with the object is not lost when switching from magnification to normal viewing and back again.
WAVE ESD offer both shadow-free magnification with light coming from both sides, as well as three-dimensional magnification with light coming from the left or right. By illuminating from one side only, depth perception is increased and positioning and welding of components are made easier.
