Description

Detailed Equipment Information The recently updated 26-1KS PLC is designed to ensure fast, consistent lithographic exposures and superior image reproduction on printing plates, color proofing materials, daylight films, and many other applications that require UV exposure with absolute contact. It combines a 1K instant-start multi-spectrum metal-halide exposure lamp with a vacuum frame and molded one-piece blanket housed in an all-steel cabinet. The 26-1KS PLC is a complete, easy-to-use lithographic exposure system with an energy-efficient power supply that provides more power and light than competing models with higher wattages. The instant-start power supply saves energy by eliminating warmup and idling times, and is capable of handling material up to 58 x 69 cm (23” x 27”). The new touchscreen integrator/controller provides exceptional control over exposures. Operators can create up to 24 vacuum/exposure recipes for repeat and similar jobs. The exposure process is simple and straightforward. It starts with the heavy-duty vacuum pump, which runs for the user-set time. At that point, the exposure lamp comes on and the integrator/controller counts down the set exposure setting in units of light. When the exposure is complete, the vacuum pump and exposure lamp are turned off. The automated operation built in to the 26-1Ks PLC allows operators to initiate and complete the exposure process with the touch of a single button—and then walk away. A floor stand and a curtain assembly that blocks out most of the light during the exposure process are available as options.
