Maag Pump Systems Backflush screen changers are based on the proven
double-piston design which operates without any additional seals and is
equipped with four screen cavities. This design is used to process heavily
contaminated polymer melts (recycled material).
In the automatic backflush cycle, contamination is removed from one screen cavity at a time by backflushing the screen with polymer. During this process, the other three screen cavities remain in production position providing continuous and process-constant operation. Screen retainer plates keep the screens in their position during the backflush process.
Screens (filter cloth) can be used several times in the CSC/BF-4F reducing operating costs significantly.
