  • pulsed arc welding generator MacGregor
MacGregor Welding Systems supply a range of programmable pulsed arc welding power supplies that are used predominantly within applications such as:

Coil Termination
Relays
Solenoids
Pencil Coils
Transformer Coils
Actuators
Inductors
Reed Switch Assemblies
Seam Welding
Nuclear Fuel Rod Assemblies
Stranded Wire Preparation (Solidification of strands prior to resistance welding -prevents wire strands from splaying)
Thermocouple Junction Welding
Lamp Manufacture (Side Wire Termination)

Definition

Pulsed Micro Arc Welding uses a Linear DC TIG welding power supply with a proprietary MWS Arc Start System. The arc start system allows the welding arc to be initiated without contacting the part. The system controls the output current and time of the welding pulse allowing for precise heat input to the part. The system automatically compensates for the increased arc length as the process continues ensuring stability.
