The PXL 032-5 is designed to produce five-layer tubes with an EVOH barrier sandwiched in between two layers of adhesive. It is available in a Silane based PEX-b configuration using the Sioplas technique for the inner tube. The extruder for the first layer is an NMB 80-24D. An NMA 30-24D extruder then applies the adhesive, an NMC 45-24D for the middle EVOH layer, followed by another NMA 30-24D for the outer adhesive layer. The fifth outer layer is extruded with an NMB 60-24D. The five extruders are connected together via the multi-layer ELH 45-5L head.
