The carbide replaceable drill heads are designed as rapid set heads which are not reground. This allows a constantly high level of efficiency by the drill to be guaranteed, which leads to higher production reliability and means that the adjustments to the machine parameters or the settings for reground drills are not necessary.
At the centre of the replaceable head drill TTD is the connection, which guarantees an extremely high stability of the connection. It is characterised by a radial serration. This means that on the one hand there is optimum torque transfer and on the other the radial serration produces high accuracy in changeover and concentricity. Two characteristics which are fundamental to a connection are combined on one system - the TTS Torque Transfer System.
The standard series of replaceable head drills TTD cover drilling depths 3xD, 5xD and 8xD. Three different types of drill heads are available: type 01 for machining steel and cast materials, type 02 for stainless steels and type 03 for non-ferrous metals in the diameter range 12.0 – 32.0 mm.
