The new MAPAL tangential roughing tools set new levels in stability and efficiency, particularly when cutting at often a few millimeters cutting depth. A newly developed replaceable hexagonal insert with special support chamfer prevents chatter and vibrations. Perfect multiple cutting with increased stability through the tangential fitting of the inserts in precision seatings on the face side. The low power consumption for the series is converted into a greater number of teeth - and thus greater feed - and means reduced machining times. Tangential roughing tools are available in monobloc and modular design for flexible use, e. g. where small batches are repeated.
