One-component, ready-to-use, thixotropic and quick-hardening, Mapeflex PU45 is a unique product to form flexible seals and a flexible bond between all materials used in the building industry.
The product is ideal for flexible seals in internal and external expansion joints and vertical fillet joints. It is also specifically indicated for sealing horizontal joints in civil and industrial floors, including those subject to intense traffic.
Mapeflex PU45 has the capacity of compensating movements of up to 20% of the width of the joint.
When used as a flexible adhesive, thanks to its sucker effect, it may be used for lightweight building fixtures without resorting to the additional use of nails, screws and mechanical fasteners.
Mapeflex PU45 is easy to apply in beads or spot-bonds, which makes it ideal for flexible bonds between internal and external fittings, such as match-boarding, dressing slabs, insulating panels, doorsteps, window-ledges, parapets, localised replacement of floor and dressing elements, rose-windows, decorative profiles, skirting-boards, cable-trays and cable-runners.
Compatible with all absorbent mineral substrates, metal surfaces, painted surfaces, wood, stone, brickwork, glass and gypsum. Primer is not usually required.
Once completely polymerised, Mapeflex PU45 may be painted over with paint normally used in the building industry.
