The Turning/milling centre is a new machine conception based on the turning/milling centre matec-30 FDZ. The machine is equipped with a counterspindle for the all-round machining (front and rear) of simple and complex parts in series production. The matec-30 FDZ duo can be used for combined milling and turning operations or alternatively only for milling operations. A bar feeder for short bars (1,240 mm) supplies the raw material (diametre of bars up to 100 mm). An NC pick-up is discharging the finished parts. Characteristics Based on the approved turning/milling centre matec-30 FDZ we have developed a new and variable machine conception with counterspindle for the complete machining (front and rear) of simple and complex parts in series production. Like all matec machining centres the FDZ duo is constructed according to customer’s needs. The machine can be used for milling and turning ope-rations or alternatively only for milling operations The turning/milling centre matec-30 FDZ duo has the following characteristics: Diameter of bars up to 100 mm Bar feeder for short bars (1.240 mm) NC pick-up for discharging the parts The bar feeder provides for quick loading of the parts and thus for short cycle times.
