Thanks to the MTV 5 series, MAUS is able to offer a complete range of exclusive solutions for vertical turning. The MTV series includes single units and flexible lines for the complete production of components with a maximum turning diameter up to 600 mm, of various levels of complexity, in mid- and large-volume batches.
MAUS's flexible lines, designed for minimum operator input, guarantee productivity, reliability, safety, operating comfort, ease of use and low maintenance costs. The modular construction of the systems makes it possible to choose from three types of part-loading: self-loading, gantry and robot.
Two main configurations are available: the first (FMS - Flexible Manufacturing System) deals with the complete processing of the part on each machine, with automatic tool change and rapid chuck changeover; the second configuration involves the transfer of the part through successive operations – turning in the first operation, turning in the second operation, drilling, measuring, balancing, marking, oiling, etc. The choice between the two configurations should be made on the basis of the customer's production requirements and the characteristics of the parts to be machined. The typical application sectors include power transmission (gears), the automotive industry and others.
