Full, demand, and empty indications in stock silos - those are the main application areas of the rotating-paddle devices MBA 2.2 and MBA 3.2.
Both instruments work reliably and almost completely independent from the bulk material's characteristics. Therefore they are used more and more frequently for measuring of the filling heights.
In areas of potentially explosive atmosphere of gas or / and dust (EX-areas), electrical devices can only be used if they are certified with an EX-area certification. The MBA 2.2 and MBA 3.2 are both approved for an ATEX application for dust-EX-area 20 (II 1 / 2 D IP 65 T), as well as the application for gas-EX-area 1 (II 2G Ex de IIC / IIB T1/T2/T3).
