Applications - the fluids in question
Some processes occasionally demand levels of protection not adequately provided by commonly used equipment (316L…) or because the "setting" requires increased protection.
The use of chlorides, seawater up to 70°C, phosphoric or sulphuric solutions, or even acetic acids, for example, imposes the need for a suitable solution.
Possible solutions
Using 904L (DIN 1.4539) or 254 SMO type "super austenitic" equipment.
These are the ultimate answer to problems with corrosion before Nickel or Cobalt based alloys are used.
Example of use: sulphuric acid at 20°C in all concentrations, at 50°C concentrations below 60% or greater than 90%.
Valves available ex-stock or by quick delivery.
Special protective paint may be used on carbon steel in accordance with your particular requirements (thickness, type of paint, RAL, etc)
