Model 5220B-100
The Endevco model 5220B-100 is an industrial accelerometer designed specifically for vibration measurement in the rugged environments of plant machinery. This accelerometer incorporates a piezoelectric sensor driving an internal hybrid Isotron® signal conditioner in an insulated, double-shielded case. The 5220B-100 has a top integral two-pin receptacle MS3102-10SL-4P. The system transmits its low impedance voltage output through the same pin or twisted pair cable that supplies the required constant current power. The model 5220B-100 offers a very wide dynamic range and a low noise floor. The cable arrangement provides excellent resistance to electromagnetic noise pick-up. Signal ground is isolated from the mounting surface and outer case to prevent ground loops. The sensor is hermetically sealed to ensure long-term operation with excellent stability.

Operating in shear mode, the 5220B-100 is an electrically isolated sensor and charge amplifier unit. The following performance specifications conform to ISA-RP-37.2 (1-64) and are typical values referenced at +75°F (+24°C), 24 Vdc supply, 4 mA constant current and 100 Hz, unless otherwise noted. Calibration data, traceable to National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST), is supplied.
