The ENDEVCO 7270AM6 series piezoresistive accelerometers are very robust, and contain integrated mechanical filters for different shock measurements. The filters mitigate the high frequency of a shock pulse in order to protect the sensor from high g or high-frequency inputs that can exceed range limitations. They are available in ranges from 6,000 to 60,000 g full scale. They feature a Sandia National Laboratories mechanical isolator, that is made out of aluminum, lined with two layers of elastomer filter for protection, offering the same response to both positive and negative accelerations. The mechanical filter feature a damped output with a linear phase shift. These accelerometers can be used for DC to 10 kHz, for temperatures up to 66 °C (150 °F).
