Mountable as front panel component as well as directly on circuit cards the SMD component offers a variety of possible applications. The SMD component is available as push button and press switch with the same dimensions. The compact form of the housing has a length of 16 mm and is space-sparingly mountable right behind the front panel. Special attention during the development of the component was paid to the Gull-Wing connection, which has the widest spreading because of its advantages of reproducible spacing, self-centering effects and the improved problem of the soldering shadow. The convenient way of inspection of the soldering spots and the easy rework and unsoldering are advantages the user expects of this technology. The systems are usable within a temperature range of -25°C to +85°C and guarantee the broadest fields of application.
