The many years' experience gained in the seed and animal feed sectors has allowed us to develop an automatic bagging machine that can easily work with open mouth raffia bags. This type of bag, especially popular in the Far Eastern markets but also with exporting domestic producers, has always caused several problems for the manufacturers of automatic machines. These problems are especially related to the porosity of the fabric and to defects in the manufacturing methods of such bags. Simplicity: the MF TECNO development and innovation centre has studied several simple and effective solutions, which have implemented the already high reliability of their plants, thus allowing these bags to be used also at high speeds. Efficiency: guaranteed by the particular handling of the raffia bag during the pick-up phase from the bagging machine empty bag warehouse, where every bag is fed individually due to a relevant shutter separator and in the successive bag mouth opening phase. Once filling has been completed, the bag is held during the transfer phase to stitching, by a pair of arms that can tightly guide the bag from the bag top level.
