The welding seam processing machine removes the overlaying inner and outer welding seam of large-diameter pipes over a length of 400 mm fully automatically. This process offers a number of advantages compared to the common, manual grinding process.
- Reduction of the noise emission compared to the grinding process
- No production of swarf
- No spark formation
- Usage of grinding pencils is needless, therefore no risk of injury
- Removal of all chips by an effective suction device
- Machine can be operated in a line or separately, individual solutions are possible
- Exact measuring of the welding seam by a scanning device
- Recording of the removed welding seam by a second scanning process
- Low tool costs by carbide tipped milling tools consisting of a base body and screwed cassettes
- Different concepts depending on the required capacity and conditions are possible.
